Keeping Score, in conjunction with the Northern Ohio Chapter of ABC and the PHCC of Ohio, administers backflow certification and re-certification training classes for the State of Ohio.
Keeping Score handles the paperwork and registration for the instructors. Classes are held based on demand. The instructors for these classes maintain information on the people that they certify and re-certify. If you move or your contact information changes, you should contact one of the instructors so that they can keep you up to date. If you have not been approved by the State of Ohio to take the training program, then your 1st step is to apply to the State of Ohio to take the training program. Go to the State of Ohio website: www.ohio.gov and type "backflow prevention" into the search engine. It will take you to the plumbing/backflow prevention section where there is an application to download, fill out and mail in to the State of Ohio with the application fee. Alternatively, you may click on this link: http://com.ohio.gov/dico/docs/plum_BackflowApplication.pdf.   Typically, it takes the State 2 or 3 weeks to review applications. Once you've received your approved application back, send a copy of the approved application to me and I will keep you apprised as to when the instructors set class dates.
